A configuration issue was discovered after the initial changes were made that impacted some users’ ability to connect. That issue has now been corrected. If you continue to experience connectivity issues, contact servicedesk@mit.edu.

As announced on December 2, 2022 - https://ist.mit.edu/news/open-wifi-changes

IS&T will disable open access to the "MIT" Wi-Fi network and require devices to authenticate using a Wi-Fi password (PSK).

All users and devices should use the "MIT SECURE" Wi-Fi network when possible.

For devices that are not capable to joining the "MIT SECURE" Wi-Fi network, users can obtain a personal PSK from the Wi-Fi onboarding portal: https://wifi.mit.edu
