We have experienced a partial failure of the Automated Tape Library (ATL) used by Spectrum Protect (formerly TSM) to store backup data. This failure does not affect any data stored on tape, just the ATL itself. During this outage IS&T will work with our vendor to correct the issue, which requires powering down the ATL.
Please note that during this work any Spectrum Protect restore operations may hang or fail.
This work will not affect desktop backups/restores made with CrashPlan.
