Monitoring - IS&T has determined that the Cisco AnyConnect VPN service has reached the limits of its hardware capacity. VPN users are advised to begin using MIT's new Prisma Access VPN service.

Scheduled - The IP addresses of the IS&T DNS server hosts have changed:

OLD ==> NEW
18.70.0.160 ==> 18.0.70.160

18.72.0.3 ==> 18.0.72.3

Any device configured using the IS&T DHCP servers (e.g. wireless devices, most wired devices on the standard building subnets) will automatically be updated to reflect this change.

*** For devices that are configured statically, device owners will need to manually update the device’s configured DNS nameservers to use the new IP addresses. The new IP addresses are functioning today and are already responding to DNS queries. The old IP addresses will be retired as the community completes the migration to the new IP addresses over the coming weeks.

TSM: maintenance of backup-i Jul 12, 12:00-14:00 EDT
The TSM server backup-i will undergo maintenance. If all goes well, the work will take under an hour. During the outage IS&T will allocate more space to the TSM database on this server.
Please note that during the maintenance backups to and restores from backup-i will be unavailable. This work will not affect other TSM servers, or desktop backups made via Crashplan.
