Identified - IS&T has now identified a few different issues related to a recent change to the split-tunneling behavior of the on-prem VPN gateways. A potential fix is currently being tested to resolve or mitigate many of these issues.

Identified - Our VoIP cloud provider has identified an issue preventing people from accessing their accounts on the BroadSoft portal. A ticket has been opened with the vendor and more information will be provided once available.

Monitoring - The vendor has confirmed the issue with the iOS version of UC-One Communicator. Community members wishing to use softphone capabilities are advised to use macOS, Windows, or Android versions of UC-One Communicator on another device as a workaround: https://ist.mit.edu/broadsoft/communicator

Investigating - IS&T has received reports that community members using the UC-One Communicator iOS mobile app (an app used to make/receive calls from MIT phone numbers on iOS devices) are experiencing trouble with authentication and call connection. We are investigating these reports and will provide additional information as we learn more.
While the iOS mobile app is being addressed, members of the community have the option to download and install the UC-One Communicator app on other devices at https://ist.mit.edu/broadsoft/communicator

IS&T will be conducting upgrades to the Metro Ring Optical Network to improve resiliency and enhance capabilities. No service/connectivity outages are expected due to circuit redundancy.*
