Identified - Code42 Crashplan is experiencing a known issue with restore functionality. Restores attempted from a device or the web console may fail. As a workaround, users are advised to attempt to break the restore down into smaller pieces. Code42 is investigating the issue.

Identified - IST has disabled the widget-connector plugin on the MIT wiki in response to a security flaw reported here:

The plugin is used to embed content in a page from sites such as youtube and vimeo. The nature of the vulnerability and the growing number of reports of systems being compromised is of sufficient concern that the plugin will remain disabled until such time as an upgrade of the confluence application running wikis.mit.edu can be completed.

Beginning Wednesday, May 1st, IS&T will begin migrating mailboxes to the Exchange 2013 environment. As mailboxes are moved, users may get a message stating "The Microsoft Exchange Administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook". Crashplan Maintenance Jun 27, 08:30-10:30 EDT
The Code42 Crashplan authority server will be unavailable Thursday June 27th from 8:30a - 10:30a for planned maintenance. During this time users will be unable to log in to the web console, register new users, or initiate web restores. Restores initiated from desktop clients may experience brief interruptions during this time.

Investigating - IS&T received reports of sporadic internet connectivity issues this morning. Upon investigation, it appears there is a global internet routing issue that began overnight, originating from Verizon's network. The issue does not seem to be directly impacting MIT's connectivity at this time, however it may cause issues with remote users connecting to MIT.

Scheduled - The campus firewalls currently NAT IP traffic from systems behind the firewall to the delegated (non-IS&T managed) networks (e.g. RLE, Media Lab) as well as traffic destined to the Internet. The NAT rules pertaining to the delegated networks will be removed so that NAT will only occur when connections are made to destination systems outside of MITnet.

After the change, systems on delegated networks will see incoming connections from 10-net IP addresses instead of an IP within the NAT pool as they had seen previously.

Scheduled - The campus firewalls, that conduct network address translation (NAT) out to the Internet for buildings on campus, will be upgraded to a more recent version of software. Connectivity to the Internet will still be available during this time, but existing connections will need to be re-established after failing over to the redundant firewall pair.

The data center firewalls and remote access VPN are separate and will not be affected by this maintenance.
